To Johnathon, Christopher, and Madelyn,
So…the family is moving to Mumbai. This site is built as a way to memorialize the experiences that we had as a family during our adventures in Mumbai. We both hope that you’re reading this decades from the publish date and it’s strengthening memories.
From the beginning of this process we’ve thought a lot about you three and how this decision would impact each one of you. After all we’re moving 8,400miles from home. At the time of our move you three were 1, 3, & 6 and we wanted to find a way to document the amazing experiences that were apart of our adventure.
If they are still around, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter were all options that allow for documentation of events, thoughts, and memories. And originally we thought making a concerted effort to get picture on Facebook would be enough. As they say, “A picture is worth a 1,000 words.” But when memories and emotions fade, will we really remember what our thoughts and emotions in the moment? We started thinking the answer was no, we wouldn’t.
This site has been created to memorialize our experiences in Mumbai, the places, cultures, people, and friends. It is our hope that this site will be cherished by not only ourselves, as the fresh memories fade, but also each of you.
